Dr. B. Angeloe Burch doesn’t just lead—he lives the values of compassion, unity, and justice. As the Executive Director of the African American Community Collaborative, he has become a steadfast voice and visionary for programs that uplift, empower, and celebrate the African American experience. For Dr. Burch, service isn’t an obligation—it’s a way of life.
His journey is marked by a deep and abiding commitment to people, especially those whose voices often go unheard. Whether he’s strategizing on health equity with the Access to Care Committee, guiding strategic direction as Board Chair of Families and Communities Rising (FCR), or championing the arts as a Trustee of the NC Museum of Art, Dr. Burch shows up with purpose and presence.
He believes that real change happens through collaboration, trust, and consistent care. It’s why he dedicates time to the Homeless Services Advisory Committee, serves with the National Kidney Foundation, and holds active membership in numerous civic and fraternal organizations, including Red Mt. Lodge #468 of the Prince Hall Masons, the Holy Royal Arch Masons, Knights Templar, Durham Consistory #218, and the ZAFA Temple Shriners #176.
But ask Dr. Burch what drives him, and he’ll likely say this: “A life of service to others—that’s the most fulfilling thing a person can do.” And it shows. His impact ripples across communities, reminding us all of what’s possible when leadership is rooted in love, history, and hope.
